Tax Exemption Certificate Wizard

Disclaimer: THE INFORMATION IN THIS WEB PAGE IS NOT, NOR IS IT INTENDED TO BE, TAX OR LEGAL ADVICE. ANY CUSTOMER WISHING TO BE TAX EXEMPT FOR THEIR PURCHASES FROM AVIALL/BDI SHOULD CONSULT WITH THEIR RESPECTIVE TAX ADVISORS FOR TAXABILITY OF ITS PURCHASES FOR SHIPMENT TO THE RELEVANT STATES.

BDI is registered in all U.S. states that have sales tax, to collect and remit sales tax according to that state’s sales and use tax regulations. BDI must charge and remit sales tax in accordance to the rate of the ship-to state to that individual state’s taxing authorities, unless the purchaser can provide a valid resale certificate from that particular state. As a result of being registered in all U.S. states, which have sales tax, BDI must treat all purchasers who are not registered with the ship-to state as an out-of-state purchaser. BDI can only exempt or issue sales tax credits if the purchaser can provide a resale certificate from the state in which business is conducted in whether or not the purchaser is registered for that state or not
